Trey Anastasio Confirms New Album, Traveler, And Announces October Tour

After the appearance of "Scabbard" on Amazon last week, Trey.com has confirmed the release of the album, Traveler, on October 16th. As described on the site:

Traveler, Trey Anastasio’s forthcoming solo album, will be released on October 16 on Rubber Jungle Records / ATO Records. Trey co-produced the album with Peter Katis (The National, Interpol, Jonsi) last fall in Katis’ Tarquin Studios in Bridgeport, CT. Along with Trey Anastasio Band, Katis invited several artists to work with them, including Mates of State’s Kori Gardner, The National’s Bryan Devendorf and Matt Berninger, and Icelandic percussionist Samuli Kosminen. Album pre-order details will be announced shortly. The first single on the album, “Scabbard,” will be released August 21.

Fans can expect to hear songs from that new album starting two days after the album's release as Trey will embark on a nine-day tour starting in Michigan and ending at the soon-to-be-reopened Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, New York. A presale begins on this upcoming Thursday (August 16th) at 10:00 am through Trey's ticketing page. General on sale will be through Ticketmaster starting the following week.
